Good-bye to FXstreet's Chat Room?
Hi everyone,
Well, not everyday I can come to you to explain you good things, sometimes I´ve got to come to share with you bad things on FXstreet.com
After more than 3 years trying to make our chat room a success we are seriously considering to close the room before the end of the year and focus all our efforts in pushing up FXstreet's Forum numbers as the Forum is picking up lately.
When Toni Juste was moderating the room it reached almost 90 users during US opening and European afternoon. But since Toni moved to other duties the room has not stopped of getting smaller and smaller so I´m affraid we are now wasting Tatsuya's time having him so many hours taking care of the room.
Do you think it would be a smart move to close the chat room down and focus ourselves into the Forum?
As always, your feedback here or by e-mail will be more than welcome
Francesc

hello, why close the room ?I see per day ten or twelve users consistly...
Thanks

Dear Samer
I´m very short of human resources - as any other business I guess - and I can´t spend much time of my people in the room. If we do not spend time there, we loose anything we may have accomplished either because some people enter the room to drive participants elsewhere or just to blow it up using bad language and offending participants.
I do not see future in it. As a reader of this blog very well said, I should concentrate in what I´m good at... don´t you think?

i think u shld appoint some responsible moderators who manage fxstreet chatroom. The room shld not be shutdown as its the only way of live (realtime)discussions. This room has great history of making traders from beginners to professionals. I wish this room may live forever thx

Dear Zeb
I´m very sorry if you were a user of our Chat room but the decision has already been taken.
I´m really sad to recognize that assigning resources to chats moderation and control was a waste of time for my company and the best thing we can do is to shut it down.
I would love that the people that was using the room would be redirected to our Forum to keep chatting with others about things interesting for them, but I´m not sure if we are going to be able to convince you guys to move.
To recognize a failure is hard but the sooner you do it the better... and I´m already doing it too late :(

Zeb puts it very good...this room has a great(the best in my experiance) history of educating the forex community...may it live forever.
